Judy is the President of The Legacy Foundation, LLC, and has over 30 years of experience providing financial services to the university community. Her career began in Charlottesville in 1984, where she recognized the need for tailored financial planning to help individuals navigate complex benefit choices. This realization inspired her to pursue additional credentials and develop a passion for holistic financial planning.

In 2006, Judy founded The Legacy Foundation, incorporating holistic financial planning with investment management. The firm has achieved B Corp Certification, integrating sustainability into client portfolios, and partners with Fidelity to provide retirement advisory services to the university community.

Judy holds Series 6, 7, 24, and 63 licenses, along with life and health insurance licenses. She also holds Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) and Accredited Asset Management Specialist (AAMS) designations.

Judy has been a member of the Chairman’s Council with LPL Financial since 2013. She is an active member of the Women Presidents Organization (WPO), a global network of female business leaders dedicated to fostering community leadership and shared success through collaboration and support. In her free time, she enjoys long-distance biking, hiking, traveling, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
